Hey,

I want to resize an original image to be able to submit it for the comp to 800 pixels but when I do it on photoshop, the quality goes down the pan :( any suggestions?
 
:shrug:I mean, sharpness almost dissappears, I tried the bicubic sharpening option but it didn't do much, how do you guys resize your images for the forum?
 
I do my processing with CS3 including sharpening with unsharp mask. Then I go edit>convert to profile>change toSrgb>save. I then close the image go to the saved image in Bridge and open with Microsoft Picture Manager and resize from there. Sounds long winded but works for me and is really simple.

In CS3, Save for Web and Devices. Resize to 600x800 and save to desktop. Open again and sharpen.

Thats all I do, hope it helps :)

If you save it to a jpeg, open it again and save it again as a jpeg, then you're losing quality where you don't have to.
