The version of XP would be helpfull to know.

Also do thye remember even setting a password?

Have they tried typing for the user name Administrator or administrator and for the password leaving either blank or trying password
 
I suggested the blank password but haven't heard back yet.
 
Been to visit ... two systems with different passwords, one monitor and a switcher unit! :D
