I have a macbook pro with several bits of software installed including LR2 and PS CS3.

I have just bought an imac here and was wondering about software.

I understand the Adobe software license allows you to install it on two machines at home. Is that right?

I have all of my macbook pro backed up to an external HD using time machine. Is it possible to just copy every thing, including applications, to my new imac?
 
When you fire up the iMac it will ask you do you want to transfer from another mac. Click on yes then follow the instructions.
You will either need a firewire cable to directly connect the two or a large hard drive so you can back it all up
