Retro Equipment, Mallory PX21 Mercury battery equivalent/adapter advice?

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well this afternoon.

I am after a bit of advice if possible. I have just inherited my grandfathers camera (Pentacon Praktica LLC) which has great sentimental value to me and I would like to start shooting with it. The trouble is the cameras light metering runs off a Mallory PX21 Mercury battery - these have been discontinued. A modern equivalent is the CR123a (or so I've been reading) but an adapter with a diode is required? The links and information on the adapter with diode are dead. Would anyone be able to guide me in the right direction?

Thanks wontolla... The trouble is that the CR123a is a 3v battery and the original was a 4.5v. Apparently this gives a sporadic light meter reading - I think this is why the adapter is required?

Ahh, I see. Thought you couldn't find the CR123a battery!
In that case try http://www.smallbattery.company.org.uk/sbc_px21.htm but they aint cheap!
But they should last 2 years.
