wanted to get a similar "vibe" to the advertising that was being done back then - this is how they actually used to advertise this watch in 1978...
Back then they were still selling the Watches on their technical abilities, with just a hint of the lifestyle/aspirational - unlike today, where it's pretty much all lifestyle (hence sponsorship of Wimbledon and lots of the other majors, Golf, Sailing, Motorsports and Equestrian...)
Some Might say, when they were still a Tool Watch, and not a Watch for Tools...
Sometimes threads in the ''specialist' areas never seem to get a single like or comment. First time I've seen this, Mark - you have a lot of the vibe, but the image lacks a little punch *for me* and compared to the image below. It could also do with more '70s visual cues like a pound note, or maybe some old-looking foreign currency suggesting an exotic travel.
