Reworked Buzzard

I took this shot of a Common Buzzard a few months ago.
This was as close as I could get with my 100-400L on a 5D Mk2.
Not the most exciting shot.

After wondering what it would look like on a more interesting background I came up with this. WDYT?

I do not think it looks natural, but you have done a good job of it.

What is wrong with the blue sky behind it with the same crop ?

I think the blue sky would look better with this crop as well but maybe add a cloud or 2, only my opinion.

I like the woodland idea but it seem a bit busy - maybe if it was way OOF
Probably easier to stick with the blue sky because the browns in the woods "hide" the bird.

Well Mike a good pic of the bird and you did well on the edit imo. Perhaps as mentioned if the bg was oof a lot more and the colours were more subdue it might work better. Cant help but wonder what the comments would have been if you had kept yer mouth shut about it though
