I've started going through my images from a couple of years ago.
I'm reprocessing them ready for uploading to an image library.

Here are a few of my favorites.

All taken at the Farnes except for the swan, which was at a local park, using Canon 10D.

All RAW's processed with RSP.

Comments always appreciated.

Wow, all very good, but particularly the 2nd - has a great DoF, rich in colour, and really picks the subject out from the surrounding features.

:thumb:

No 2 & 4 for me. The one putting the puffin in context and then the excellent sad eyed close-up.

All excellent re-workings, especially the puffins :) I recently re-did mine from the same trip and was impressed with the results. You'll have to keep us informed how you get on with the image banks. I am sure that you won't need it, but best of luck anyway!!

I love 'em all but 3rd pic all the way for me - I love those back lit wings against that great sky - unless it's PS work, but either way, it's a great shot! :thumb:

Thanks for the comments peeps.

Steve, I will update with my progress with the image library.
I still have to send in my initial sample shots, which may come from the batch
I'm currently processing.
Fingers crossed everything will be okay.

CT, no PS work other than sharpening for the web.
The Tern was lit from the harsh sun above, and a 3rd party flash on full
power from below.
In the full sized version, you can see the catchlights in the terns eyes.

The first two images were taken with 'centre spread magazine print' in mind.
The left hand side of the images can have text printed over the background,
Which would raise more revenue than a single page print.
In the second image I've allowed a bit more space at the top, which can
be used for a large font title.
All tips picked up from one of the countries leading nature pro's.

Thanks again

great photos Matt, really like the puffin one's. The Farne's, just love the place, wife and i stayed at Seahouses a couple of years ago, must go back.

Number 3 the Tern is my favourite, just so hard to get that exposure right ! (for me anyway :banghead: )

photo Number 2 is a bit too poopy for me, with all that bird poo on the rocks...

Great shots !

If you have never been to Lunga, one of the Treshnish islands off the west coast of Mull, it's worth a trip for some Puffin photos.( as well as all the other stuff)

No roped off areas like on the Farne islands. Also a much larger island so birds spread out more.

I have heard corncrake on Lunga a few times, never seen them yet though...

Mark.

3rd for me as well, it's almost 3D, great shot :)
