RF602 and on-camera flash?

If you want a trigger on the camera (to trigger an off-camera flash) and still have a camera-mounted flash with full TTL then you need a RF-603 or the superior Phottix Strato (or Strato Mk2). All have TTL pass-through to allow use of a TTL flash on the camera while triggering off-camera flashes in their respective manual modes.

Yes, but it depends on the camera you have. RF602 trigger has PC sync port in front of it. IF your camera has PC sync port all you need is the cable to connect the camera to trigger via PC sync cable and not the hot shoe.

As others have mentioned there are other ways to do this, but most of those would be getting triggers that can pass through the ETTL signal for your flash. :)
 
I would go with the 603's too, they also take normal AA batteries which can be found in any shop the 602's have some funky ones in them.
 
unfortunately, i already have the rf602s, was wondering if there was a way around my existing set up...

i see the rf603 wakes up the flash too, which is ideal.

so does anyone know if the rf603 transceiver works with the rf602 receivers?

edit: actually, probably no good, as i guess it won't wake up the flashes anyway! ignore me lol
 
Do you need the flashes to go into standby?

If not then disabled it, I did the same for this very reason, I'm firing them with the RF602 setup.
