Am getting to grips with my newly acquired S5 pro, and have got most sorted. Should I be using srgb or adobe RGB, and what is the difference?

Any other starting point suggestions appreciated, I am ok with the camera operations settings it the pic quality and tweaks that I could do with advice on to get the best out of this camera.

sRGB for JPEG. Adobe makes no sense for JPEG as the defacto standard for monitors, printers etc is sRGB.

Colourspace makes no difference for raw from any camera.

Thanks Puddleduck, changed it back now!!! At least I am getting better at finding all these settings in the menu!!!

Not quite true. Most printers have a wider gamut then AdobeRGB, so if you send a sRGB image to a printer, you are wasting potential colour range.

Most printers are profiled as sRGB, unless the your target printer has an AdobeRGB profile, then its not a good idea to do send AdobeRGB.

Its a very bad idea to shoot Adobe for JPEG, as converting to sRGB which most monitors use is not loseless.
