Hopefully they will do a better job than Hoya with the brand, personally I think it could be great news.

Hoya did a good job with the current release of DSLR offerings but their marketing and lens releases have been appalling.

Could be good, Ricoh's GXR compact system is meant to be excellent if expensive, I'm sure Pentax branding won't hurt them!

They had ties years ago, hopefully they can resurrect that and do something good. There's been much good work already with the K5, lets hope they keep the momentum building. Here's hoping they go FF too, but I doubt it.

It's really excellent news. Ricoh are a big company (office machines) with over 100,000 employees.

spooooky! I realise this thread is a few days old, but only just found it.....

...only a few hours ago I bought a Ricoh KR5 Super on ebay to share the XR Rikenon on my DSLR! Hopefully things are looking up!
