I am considering purchasing the Ricoh GR Digital 2, and I was wondering if anyone knew whether the camera has a "Bulb" setting? By that I mean that you can have an infinite shutter speed. Im looking to do some long exposure photography, but I cannot find the answer to this on any site.

If anyone knows anything about it that would be very helpful. And If you have the GRD2 and you have any opinion about its performance I'd love to know.

Nope. No bulb setting. Maximum is 180 secs. I suspect this is to do with sensor heat but I'm not certain.

I have owned a GRD I and liked it. The control layout is great and best compact I have tried and it has a quality feel to it.
Write speeds of raws are very slow if that matters but ultimately the small sensor didn't give me the IQ I was after (that and lack of viewfinder) so now have a similar sort of thing with X100 (fixed lens, anyway!)

Thanks for the info. Shame it doesnt do more than 180, but that might be sufficient.

The lack of viewfinder is a pain really. The attachable Ricoh viewfinder (GV-1/GV-2) cost a fortune for what they are! £130 upwards each. But i guess that is the cost of good build quality
