A 'Flipbac' attached to the plastic LCD screen cover, it can be popped on and off when needed.

I did'nt want to leave the Flipbac permanently in place.
It would IMHO, be a hinderence and it's a bit flimsy for that.

So it's a mirror? Doesn't that mean that you can't really open it much more than you have to be able to get the full view of what's on the lcd?

Yes, it's a mirror. It will open 180 degrees horizontally and vertically, take a gander at their site for full details.
