Robins in the snow

A couple of Robin shots from today. I'm shooting 'one handed' at the moment so I was happy with them considering I couldn't feel my good hand due to the cold.

The background snow is blown in the first as I just spot metered on the bird.

Tips and suggestions welcome as ever.

Robins are highly territorial and will often fight to the death over a nice patch when food is on offer. I suspected I may have more than one but today I had seven feeding on my goodies.

absoslutely gorgeous

Only one I am less keen on is #1, background looks a tad too blown on this screen, but the rest have got a really nice colour, tone and sharpness to them that really works. I can see them as a set of christmas cards.
