Be very very careful useing a rocket blower, you may stir up more dust inside the camera body.
For light dust far better to use an Artic Butterfly and for more serious contamination a wet wipe with swabs. The most useful bit of kit you can possibly get is a Loupe. Infact I would go as far as saying without a loupe don't even try sensor cleaning. But thats just my opinion and my experience of cleaning my own camera sensors.
Having the right kit is the way to do a job properly, I am not totally against rocket blowers but having seen how much extra dust can be stirred up its not what I would recommend.
+1 for using a Giottos rocket blower, an essential addition to the camera bag to dust off lenses, and back at home will clear a spot from the sensor nine times out of ten.
Another vote for the Giottos, I use mine on the mirror and sensor (not too close!) and most of the time it does the trick, lessening the number of times I need to get the Artic Butterfly and swabs out.
...and I am the second sort. When you fire a rocket blower at a sensor, it may dislodge the dust but you have no control where it goes. Under the focus screen is one favourite.
They are OK for objective lenses which are sealed.
Yeah, there are some people go mad at the suggestion, quite funny really.
I'm not one of them.
BUT
On that particular camera I'd say be extra careful. I have used a rocket blower on every camera I've owned and only on the 5Ds have I managed to blow crap up under the focus screen. In fact, every 5D I've ever seen has had stuff up in there. Cleaning the focus screen and superimposed indicator screen isn't the hardest job in the world but you don't want to have to do it if you don't have to.
I used the Rocket Air Blower very successfully for 3-4 years on my cameras. I only had to resort to a wet clean when a new camera had dried liquid on the sensor. (doughnut shaped btw) No amount of blowing will remove anything like that.
Hey, I have used them for some time now, on various DSLR cameras, and found them to be quite effective, as suggested though, you just need to be careful.
I currently use this one, its great and price is aswell
