I used a slow shutter to try to give this fast flowing, shallow, rocky river a greater sense of movement.

Thanks Matt. I tried a few shutter speeds - slower was too "mushy", faster was too "normal", so this was the "Goldilocks speed" - just right (IMO ).

Thanks John, I was on a bridge for the shot and felt a diagonal composition with a few points of interest might work.
