Lovely shots mate. Going there later this year myself so it is great to see some of your shots.
Really like the B&W shots and #10 is cool.
Last two look a bit oof to me..is that the compression softness you are talking about?
 
Great shots, #7 does it for me. I'll be heading to Rome in October.

Just one thing, I don't know whether it's just me but alot of the pics don't seem that sharp.
 
some excellent shots there, particularly like no 18 with the light streams
 
8, 11 and 12 are my favourites from a good set. You have really captured the essence of the place.

Thanks for the comments. All the original raws and jpegs are sharp, i think VSO Image resizer has added some softness in them.
 
Some nice work there, I love Rome. I feel that in No5 there is nothing in focus, maybe just me.

15 and 16 I feel would benefit from cropping, remove the lower 3rd in 15 and the crowd in 16 - the ceiling is interesting enough.

The Pantheon does it for me (y)
