Roughly how old is this lens? Vivitar 90mm F2.8 and what's it worth

Yes
I've had this a while now after buying it on ebay for £44 but not really used it. Was it worth the money?

Just wondered if anyone if anyone else has had one and if anyone has any idea how old it is? Its a non CPU lens so a proper manual lens ;)

Might be a nice portrait lens, depends on the bokeh

Looks like late 70's early 80's maybe ?

Do a quick google on it. It seems to hail from the early 1970's and everything I've seen points towards it being quite decent. To be honest most macro lenses are. I'd guess it's certainly worth what you paid for it, particularly with todays inflated prices.

I've never used this particular lens, but for what it's worth I have used Vivitar wide angles many years back when they used to make prime manual focus lenses. They were pretty decent quality and I see no reason why your 90mm shouldn't be the same, so I think it was worth the money you paid.

Looks like a tidy profit is in store if you decide to sell. Before you do, whats the bokeh like, I might try and find myself one of these on the cheap!

Probably not the best examples but both at f2.8
