Rucksacks that wont break the bank?

I really want a rucksack so that im not taking 3 or more bags to every shoot but all the ones I find are usually lowepro and in excess of £100! As an amateur I cannot justify spending this much on a bag.

Does anybody have any recommendations for bags, brands or sites for a cheaper bag. Needs to hold 2 bodies, 3 lenses, 3 speedlights and a few odds and sods.

I would look for a second hand one.

To my mind tho, a camera bag made properly is worth paying for, you may be an amateur but I bet you still have a fair amount of £££ in kit you want to put in the bag.

My bag cost about £100, it's fit for purpose and well padded. I wouldn't want to spend less for something inferior, which I end up replacing in a couple of years time because the zip is knackered or its falling apart.
 
As above, I don't think you're going to get a good quality new bag that will take that amount of kit for less then £100. I have a Flipside 400 which was a shade under £100, but that won't accommodate all of the kit you've listed.
 
Have a look at www.7dayshop.com as they have some decent bags at good prices. I don't know what size lenses you're carrying but they have a good selection. Also have a look at www.cambags.com as they compare hundreds of bags for you.

Change that to "rucksacks that won't break your back" when your carrying that amount of gear, and perhaps it's easier to justify the cost.. ..

I think the Lowepro Pro Runner 300AW will fit your requirements, and is only £70. I use one of these as a day bag for my RB67 kit, so it should take your bodies and lenses without problem. It's very comfy across the shoulders and back once adjusted correctly, and it has far more usable space than many apparently larger rucksacks (I also have the Lowepro CompuRover and the Pro Runner can hold a lot more than this can).


Oh, and one bag is never enough.. I must have at least six now and three of them are in regular use. When travelling light (one body and a couple of lenses) look at some of the shoulder bags in TK Max and add one of the cheap padded bags from Aldi as a padded inner. Very discreet and doesn't shout "Expensive Camera!" in quite the same way a Crumpler does.
