rugby

In 4 out of the 5 youre shooting the backs of players, theyre nothing shots and should be binned, the only shot of any worth (No2) is too closely cropped and is way OOF, the focal plane is about 3-4 feet behing where it should be given the sharpness of the grass, your levels (verticals) look good though.

Practice, practice.

Whilst I agree with Gary generally, there are a few occasions when a photo of the back of the ball carrier shouldn't be binned. The main focus of the image doesn't necessarily have to be on the ball carrier, but on the tackler(s) instead.

I think that 1 and possibly 5 applies from your set.

Yours is more of a sideways shot Patrick, and every player is recognisable as his face is on show and the ball is on show, there's also some interest left of frame as other players are coming in to help attacker or defender.

Hi Ciaran. Been there, done that - Nearly always on the wrong side. You caught the action, those ones are sharp, but you were in the wrong place, as Gary Says. Shame. Keep trying. Nothing like a good excuse to go shooting ..

cheers guys, more practice required and a stricter binning process obviously.
better luck next time i hope.

think ill try a sideline spot instead
