Canon Rumours have posted a rumour that a new Canon EOS will be announced on Tuesday...no idea if it's true or not:

But the rumour is for a pro full frame body with a lower megapixel count than the last 1DS Mk III.

This got me thinking, maybe Canon have finally abandoned the megapixel race for more useful upgrades (hopefully, better high ISO performance).

What would you like to see in a new body? For me it would be a 5D with a lighter body (like the 60D) and really good high ISO performance at about 16MP.
 
I would certainly be at the front of the que to buy a mkV if it did have a big improvement on ISO either because of full frame or whatever...
 
From what I've read it won;t be the Mk V, however whatever does come out will no doubt have the new Digic V processors which apparently have much greater ISO values.

I would be interested if anyones seen anything about how the Digic V preforms.
 
Digic V is in some of the newer point and shoots already, so it's a no brainier it'll be in the next EOS (unless they have a Digic VI ready)


I won't be changing so just of interest to me, but for those salivating I do hope they don't do and apple and it's a mark 5 and not just a tweaked mark 4 ;)
