[Rumour] he Nikon D400 & Nikon D750 Revealed or Just Viral Marketing?

If it's not true, still gonna drool at the mere thought that something like that would be available. Gonna keep my eyes and ears out for more info on this if it is true!!

D400 and D750 may be on the cards but I find the photos and the specs on that page a bit dubious. For a start, I don't understand how nikon would put HD video on prosumer (or semi-pro) body nor can I understand how the flip out screen would appeal to the majority of the semi-pro/pro photographer.

Also, on the two Nikon bodies that we know have the HD video feature, namely the D90 and the D5000, they both have microphone holes and a speaker hole on the back (D5000 only). Unless Nikon has decided to conceal it as per these photos of the D400 and D750, its clearly inconsistent with what Nikon has been doing so far. In my opinion these are just photoshopped photos of a D300 and D700 body.

There's a HD video mode on the Canon 5D, a semi-pro body and the flip out screen I would personally find very useful on my D700. I can't believe I'm the only person who would find it handy.

The specs on that site look pretty reasonable to me. There's certainly nothing outrageous in those specs to make them look doubtful.
 
The flip out screen is worth it's weight in gold.
I miss mine terribly on my Sony a300 :'(
 
When is the next great announcement from Nikon due?? If they were going to release one of these?

Personally though i cant see a 16-18mp FX body in the form of a D750.. The D700 has a D3 sensor, it would be suicide to release a 16-18mp D750, until they have put that technology out in the form of a D4

Unless they reduce the FPS rate so that it appears more like a D700x,trying to buffer 18mp at 8fps would be ground breaking but unlikely. Expect to see that in the D3 replacement.

The D750 if true would be a 5D mkII spoiler.

Would you call the D300/D400 range prosumer/semi-pro? Nikon certainly call the D300 a pro body and it qualifies for NPS membership.
