Its quite a nice action shot but I think its a little too dark around the horse's head.
Your composition on this shot works quite well though - you've left a bit of space for them to run into.
If you could do some work on selectively lightening that horse you'd have a cracking shot.
Hacker takes quite a lot of pictures of horses, he might be able to give you a hand.

Try playing with Highlights/Shadows in Photoshop (if you are using it), sharpening up a bit and adding a bit of contrast. I had a go at it here but you havent the Edit my Images box ticked so I wont post it up.
As said above tho I like the composition and you can imagine the horses running into the open space ahead.
