RZ67 - Mirror sticking on white dot on shutter release, not on orange.

I can cock the leaver and press the shutter on white but the mirror sticks. Only way to release it (lever then won't wind on) is if I change the shutter to orange.

Lens and body cocked, new battery. Have been through the manual several times to try and figure it out. It's a new camera given to me by a friend who hasn't used it for a long time (several years).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks
 
Hi Megan, welcome to TP!

I'll request a mod to move this to the Film & Conventional section where it might get more traction.

Is this a problem you've had since you owned it? If so, do you know if the RZ lenses have some sort of mirror lockup button on them? On the RB (which I have) there is a switch on the side of the lens. Do you have another lens to try it with? (Don't own an RZ myself so that's about as much help as I can offer)
