Safari/Outlook issue

Since removing Internet Explorer and making Safari my default browser I have been unable to open links to websites, e.g. in emails on Outlook - it appears that Outlook is looking for IE in order to open the link and when it doesn't see it it reports an error.
Presumably there is some setting somewhere that will adjust it to open Safari instead?
Anyone know where that might be please?

That's strange because I switched over to Safari and haven't had any problems at all with opening links in emails.

I couldn't stand IE9. The crappiest bit of software I've seen in ages.

Get this error every time:-

Sorted from a further Google search:-

Control Panel -> Default programs and then choose -> Set Program
Access and Computer Defaults (last option) -> Custom -> check the
desired browser.

is safari definately your default browser in your "default programs" control panel option?

edit - hahaha waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too slow.

Thanks for helping anyway ... I'm guessing it was simply that I didn't tick the 'Make Safari Your Default Browser' when I removed IE?

thatll learn me not to read the whole thread before posting.

it might be that when you remove the default for some reason it doesnt automatically reset. maybe MS left it that way so they wouldnt get into trouble if they made it revert to IE without user input
