This is a lovely spot where you get the contrast of the beech trees on the left providing a canopy across the path and the upright pines on the right. This was a scouting trip when I may be lucky to get some mist. When I visited the sun broke through an overcast sky and lit through the trees. I think it would look even better in summer or autumn. My visit was a little late to get the best colours.

I've tried a new style of processing on this as well - more of a softer, 'painterly' feel

Nice shot. Agree with your thoughts on season but could also see a dusting of snow, just enough to texture rather than blanket thes ene as another timeframe For a revisit
