Weather was awful today, no point in trying to get any detail in the skies as it was grey and overcast. Processed these all to black and white and boosted the contrast to make the sky completely white, a sort of high key kind of way of thinking.

4) left the bird in this one for a sense of scale, couldnt decide whether to clone it out or not....

1 & 5 are the most interesting ones for me. I particularly like the composition on #5.

I'm not sure about the bird in #4. It's a bit distracting to me.
 
I love the first one John. I'm still quite new to all this and although I'm picking lots up, especially with regard to landscapes (my main area of interest), I'm still trying to get into the abstract mindset that there's a picture in everything. This image is a very good example of what I need to learn.
