Saint-Chinian, Languedoc

Hi all,

Just spent a few days in the South of France, staying amongst the vines of Saint-Chinian. Found it hard to get any pictures without too harsh light. These were my favourite two.

both shots have been taken well
the second has that special something which may have been able to make something off in a composition....the little hut

I love France. Compositionally both are fine but later or earlier in the day is where the light is.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yes, later in the day would have been great, but every evening the cloud came out! grr....

I appreciate the alternative edit. I hadn't realised how flat mine looks in comparison. May I ask how you did the selective lighting? Would that be dodge and burn? Sorry, I tend to do everything in capture one using global edits and have not really learnt more about how to make more creative edits. I have just signed up for CC so hopefully will start to learn.
