Just up the road from me in the village of Bromham there's a small wood called Salem Thrift. It has ancestral significance for me, so quite a special little place. You can walk through it and take the paths over to Stevington a few miles away. It's a peaceful walk surrounded by farm fields. We only went halfway this evening, me and Mrs CB, and here's a few pictures.

What a lovely walk.

I’m enjoying your recent posts, Keith. You seem local to me (I’m in Kempston) and it’s always nice to see someone else shooting the local area. I’ve always means to take the dog to Salem Thrift but it’s one of the few local walks I’ve not done yet.

Good old Stevington Is always worth a visit. View attachment 36397352D84591-5E6F-452F-AF29-79F5FDB34EC5.jpegAFA57D1F-4B5F-464A-893C-465DAB260E5D.jpegA12FC8EA-582D-4E26-9AAC-1AAE31E3428B.jpeg

Stunning shots Haydn, and inspiration to get over there. I recommend evenings for Salem Thrift, when there's less traffic on the nearby road.
Nice to meet another local on here :)
