Samyang 14mm for FF Nikon

Has anybody used a Samyang 14mm f/2.8 on a full frame Nikon? I’m very tempted as the price is very good and some of the reviews I have read state it’s very sharp but with barrel distortion. I would use it mainly for landscape shots, as the 24-85mm I have is not wide enough.

My concern is focusing as its manual only and my eye sight, in poor light, becomes a bit iffy! – I assume at 14mm anything past a couple of metres ‘should’ be in focus, or would I be wrong with this thought?

14mm stop it down to f8 and you'll struggle not to get everything in focus!

The lens has a lot of good reviews and there are lightroom profiles that can correct most of the distortion and vignette. I'd be careful about it as a primary landscape lens as it is very very wide!
 
Thanks Alex. I was hoping this lens might fill a gap. I have a 10-20mm Sigma I used on my DX camera, which I enjoyed the very wide end now and then. I wouldn't be using it as my primary landscape lens, the 24-85mm I have covers most of those needs........I'd love a Nikon 16-35mm, but way beyond my means at the moment - hence the thoughts of a Samyang.
 
i have the samyang and as alex says at f8 everything thing is in focus and i really mean everything.
 
I used one last year on a full-frame 5D with great results, it's very wide, although it's a bargain for the money. Go for it!

Many thanks everybody. Peter - that certainly looks wide, just the ticket. So I shall give it a go.

UK Digital seem to have the best price at the moment (I don't use eBay), I have not used them before, but I'm sure I recall good things on here about them.
 
Here's my follow up from my original question. I got the Samyang 14mm, bought from UK-Digital in Clitheroe, who were excellent to buy from AND cheaper than Amazon.
Generally, so far, I'm impressed with the lens, it feels solid enough, not heavy and hopefully I will be happy with the image quality. I took it out today for a play, I will need a bit of practice and as Alex said "it is very very wide".....here's a shot from todays practice..

It will be too wide most of the time. Distortion can be sorted with add on LR profile. I use mine for astro work (5 photos a year :lol:) and toilets :) Anything else - 17-30mm range is more appropriate. In fact I am fairly happy just using 24-70mm for most landscape work.
