Anybody using? Wouldn't mind having a new f1.4 lens for the same price as a used f1.8 Nikon, but am a bit worried about the viewfinder view when using one - I can just focus my f2.8 Sigma 70-210 manually, f1.4 should be easier, but how much easier?

No significant benefit - its been a long time since ground glass focusing screens were optimised for fast lenses, now most focusing screens are designed to get the most out of slower lenses and your D200 will probably show no benefit at faster than f/2.8.

I've just realised, I'm an idiot - I have right here an f1.4 lens I can play with see if I can manage or not! :bang:

I'd be dangerous if I woke up...

I regularly used the samyang on my d90 with not too many problems. See my Flickr for the samyang set!

Go for it! fantastic lens, and should be easy enough to focus on a D200. Ive used mine on a D300 and D3100 as well as my D700.
