Sandisk 16gb card problem

My Sandisk Ultra2 16gb sd card has somehow managed to snap off the write protect slider jobbie and the damned thing is stook in the 'protected' position

its a feature I never use or bother with but it wont slide into the correct position at all
tried with a bunch of tiny tools scissor ends etc and it wont have it
any body got any idea's
its completely stuck
 
sellotape over the slider
 
I'll try again, put a piece of sellotape over the slider and place card into camera.

stuck a strip of sellotape on and it is now working...

still cant understand how it having a physical button slider on and stuck in the protected way - and sticking a bit of tape over stops it!!!

anyway thank you very much Admiral a very cheap fix for a card that I thought might be going in the bin
