Sandisk SD card supplier question

Could anyone on here please tell me which supplier is the cheapest for genuine Sandisk SD cards. Im specifically after a 16Gb Sandisk ultra SD card to go with my new toy as i only have a 4Gb one at the moment. I have noticed from a quick google search that the prices vary alot and i dont know which ones to trust to sell a genuine one as i knowa lot of copies are going around.

Does it have to be SanDisk? Because Transcend makes some good high speed ones that work just as well in my opinion.
 
Hi thanks for the reply, It doesn't definitely have to be a sandisk, that's just what I use at the moment. The speed doesn't really bother me either to be honest although it is a bonus.. It's just the quality I'm looking for. But it does have to be 16gb. Where would you recommend me look at the transcend cards at the best prices

Hiya,have you looked at Memory Bits site on line? Just checked & they do Transcend & Sandisk 16GB cards. Have bought all my cards from them,fairly speedy delivery & always managed to get a good deal .If you look at a specific card then go back to look at another one (normally) a box flashes up with a discount code for you to use

The usual sites I check out are Amazon (themselves, not market place), Play, 7dayshop, I also look at Jessops (they currently have 20% off cards), Jacobs and Dixons group as sometimes they can have some good prices.

Don't forget TCB if you can as this also reduces the price.

Why do you want a 16gb card, personally, I'd go for either another 4gb(or 2) or maybe an 8gb - you'll need to take a lot of photos to fill a card up and I prefer to have a couple of cards, rather than 1 large one, just in case anything happens to the card - lost / stolen or becomes corrupted.

I've used Sandisk cards and have been very pleased with them

ive got a 4gb sandisk ultra and it will only store just under 200 RAW images, that would probably be enough for day out for me but i would rather have too much space on the card and not need it than not have enough when i do need it. I have actually ordered a Samsung 16Gb SDHC from Play.com after reading through some reviews and also by recommendation by a friend, so i will see how this one goes.

well I got some cheap transcend high speed cards on eBay, bought from a shop not used.

IMO Ebay should be avoided for things like memory cards, unless it's with a known seller (like 7dayshops ebay seller) - but generally because of the paypal charges, most of these are a little bit cheaper if you buy direct anyway.

Amazon (direct, NOT a marketplace seller as has been said) Play, 7dayshop are the first 3 places I'll try for memory.
 
Bought mine from Play, which sent me the wrong speed one!! And Amazon which was the correct one. Sandisk is my choice.
 
when I had the d7000 I bought the transcend class 10 from amazon for about £16. didnt have it for long enough so can't really judge it's durability but seemed to work ok
