Hi

A quick question if anyone knows for definate, it would be much appreciated. Is this Sandisk SDHC Card the 30MBS - some sites are saying it is, others just say ulta fast transfer and one site says 20MBS ???

Does anyone have any idea - thanks

I use this card and on it is the class 10 symbol, now this supports speeds upto 30mb, so I suppose if your camera can write files at this speed then taking shots at fast frames per second would be easier. It certainly feels a lot faster when writing files on my K20d and these are 23mb RAW files,

There is something odd about SD ratings. I've just ordered one for my wifes camera. The same make/model in different Gb ratings seem to have different speeds even though they have the same 'class' rating. Big cards like 16Gb seem to be faster than smaller ones like the 4Gb above.

Anyway she has a 16Gb class 6 integral for £28 on the way now.

Cheers, yes was trying to clarify if this was a 30MBS card

I use a 4gb card yes.

If its 30mbs, it`ll say 30mbs edition on the front.

Thats what I was wondering, I'm thinking it may be the run out version, before they changed to just Extreme

Cheers - I suspect then this is one of the original Extreme iii cards which are probably 20MBS, as I would have expected the 30MBS to be shown. Will order one of the cards with the 30MBS shown to make sure

No problemo.

The card is probably capable of that speed, but can your camera or card reader transfer the files at that rate? If not then your speed is governed. I received a Sandisk Extreme card reader last year and was amazed at how much quicker the transfer rate was.
