SanDisk Ultra CF cards in Asda!

Suprised to see Asda selling SanDisk Ultra CF cards tonight, even better that there were some in the 'bargain bin'. Bought a couple of 4Gb 30Mb/s (200x) Ultra cards for £7 each!
 
Not bad but their well slow cards :( No good to me in burst mode (burst RAW images 25 frames a sec) and theyd fill up quick, they would be buffering all the time :( shame, OK if your shoot single shots though :thumbs:

Ill have a look in our local Asda - could be a good stocking filler for FIL :thumbs:

My that's some quick camera you have:D

Mine's is OK with Ultra cards, might have to go back down to ASDA's.
 
Can't go wrong at that price, I haven't seen any supermarket selling CF cards for years. The Kilmarnock store had them both on the normal racks and in the bins so hopefully it will be a stock item now.
Not the fastest but definately fast enough for everyday stuff, even at 9fps there's no problem for me, not running up a huge buffer.
 
I see them from time to time in the local Asda Living. They had 16gb Ultra cards at £17 I think when I went it last time.
 
Not bad, but it works out cheaper buying a 16gb card, & never had a problem shooting burst mode with these cards.
 
Just back from ASDA, not a CF card to be seen:'(
 
Very tempting and the speed is fine for me, but the closest ASDA is a good 50 miles away. Hardly worth the drive for the saving! Thanks for posting anyway.:)
