Taken this year on inner farne all day bird watching trip with Billy Shiels

Taken with 1d mk 2 with 600mm f4 i.s mounted on a kirk king cobra head and manfrotto 055 tripod

Everyone tends to photograph the Arctic terns because they bombard you as you walk through the colony, its great to see the Sarnies getting a look in.
 
Cracking shots - esp. the last one.

I think the reason for that is you need a 600mm lens and at times a 1.4 extender

really good set there like the last one and what is that its got in number 4

They plunge dive and take what ever they can get it looks like a sand eel to me but i may be wrong
