Just thought I'd mention this, as I attended the photography seminar in Manchester today. And there's another in London tomorrow.
Sandy Puc is doing a few seminars in Europe (this doesn't happen often), and it's the last one tomorrow!

http://bellies-babies.com/schedule.html

It's a half day seminar 12-6:30pm, and will teach you everything you need to know about getting into baby photography. Covers a lot of the business side too. Sandy will tell you everything.

A brilliant day, very informative and motivational.
I've seen some of her DVD's in the past, read her book, and other online videos. They never fail to impress.

As mentioned, I attended the Manchester one, but there's another in London tomorrow for those with a spare day, there's still time to register for tomorrow's.
Honestly, you won't be dissapointed if you attend.

I hope I'm allowed to post this!

Thanks

I was there too Daniel, shame we did not realise. Good wasn't it?

You know, I thought I recognised your name! I heard "Artona" get called out when Sam announced you had won the DVD.

Yup. Brilliant day. Would definately recommend to anyone here

I also went to see Sandy Puc in Manchester.
I found it an amazing way to spend 5 hours which went far too quickly!

She has such passion and enthusiasm, and gives me something to aspire to, even if I'm only a tenth of how good she is, I would be grateful.

She also founded NILMDTS (Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep) which she spoke about with a genuine emotion, and to which I applied a few weeks ago. Check out NILMDTS, and you will not fail to be moved by what it does with parent and babies.

So all in all and excellent seminar. I spent far to much money....whats new!!! but had an afternoon to remember for a long time!:clap::clap:

thanks for the heads-up
I've just registered
ticket number 10,561
I hope it's a big room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:gag:

it was the three months access to her uni Daniel I won, looking forward to it.

I met two people from another forum I am a member of and at least two from TP. There was only a handful of people there, darn it we all knew each other and did not realise it :D:D

I was interested in the NILMDTS foundation a while back but didn't think I could ever be good enough to do it.
I didn't realise there was so much help and resources available, so I'll definately look into it now, or at least register my interest.
I think Sandy mentioned that there has to be enough photographers per hospital for it to be do-able, so hopefully there's others in my area too

is it worth taking the camera, or is it "watch/listen" rather than "do"?

Na, no camera needed. Unless you want to take a photo of the lighting setups, but they are very easy to remember. And I think each attendee is emailed a pack which has all the details in.

cheers Daniel

just got back
damned tube strike

anyway - excellent session
a bit intense at times
every hour or so a name got pulled out the hat for a freebie
I managed to win the star prize - "full set of stuff"
not quite sure what as it will arrive in a couple of days
but got a DVD of the tour to take away!

Wish I'd known about this in time - it sounds perfect for the sort of work I do (maternity, newborns and pre-schoolers mainly) and a very similar style.

I have a lot of respect for Sandy Puc, NILMDTS is an amazing charity but sadly not one I am brave enough to volunteer for partly due to my own life circumstances. I have many photographer friends who do though (one is even an area co-ordinator) and they are truly inspirational to me.

Will have to keep an eye open in future years in case she comes again, or buy the DVD!
