My Lowepro Messenger holds a D5000 with 18-105 VR, and a 35mm prime and still has 1/3 of the bag free. Is also not obviously a camera bag, which I like (more so if you unpick the little Lowepro badge).
One addition I made was to add some Velcro under the flap so I can use it quickly with the buckle undone, but also clip the buckle for better security.
Only downside is the strap isn't padded.

Have a look at the Crumpler range, iv'e got a Pretty Boy XXL which would seem about the size you want
Well made, padded strap and clip plus velcro fastening, doesn't look too camera bag'ish either which is always a bonus
