Saturn Again

Saturn via the webcam....

30 second avi, split into 300 jpegs, and Registax 5 to stack 'em.

CS2 (free photoshop) to crop and resize.

Getting better at it, but such a long way to go.

Suggestions very welcome.................

Hi Chris,

I have an 8" Skywatcher, Newtonian style.

The webcam is an Xbox I believe. I have a pile of not so good webcams here without lenses if anyone needs them.

Alas Saturn is low in the sky and really only visible until mid nightish.

As winter approaches more and more stars, galaxies will become easier to photo.

So interesting, can't wait for the cold clear nights (and before midnight).

I started with a 5" scope but quickly upgraded to an 8".

other scopes types such as reflector sort might be an option.

I'ts funny! as a normal pic this would be aweful, blurry out of focus etc but when you consider what it is and how far away, puts it all into perspective, brilliant!
