Wasn't really looking into buying a flash gun at the moment but i know i need to buy one sometime in the future.

I always wanted to buy Sb700 but it cost around £250-280 brand new and i'm on a budget at the moment so no flash gun shopping yet.

Instead I was looking for used gear and i saw the SB600 is selling for £100 which is easily afford by me so I was wondering shall i grab the SB600 or might as well wait and buy the SB700?

I just want the flash to shoot indoor and low light if need, most likely will use the flash gun on my 18-70 and cover that range.

Don't have much knowledge on flash gun because i never use one and i want to have some advice on which one to buy. SB900 is definate no no to me.
 
The sb600 is a steel at £100 I would get that. If you don't get on with it you can sell it and get your money back.
 
Oh also, from what I have read, it's a very good capable flash unit.
 
Even if you don't need it at £100 the SB600 is at least £50-60 below market value (assuming it's complete and in decent condition).

At £280 or so I wouldn't bother with a new SB700 as you can buy a nice used SB900 for that sort of money.
 
If it is in full working order, grab it at that money, I use sb-600's as back ups for my sb-900's & trust me they are very capable, & the menu/controls on the flash is a lot more user friendly. They lack some of the power of a 900, but still a steal for £100.:thumbs:
