Scanner for A3 & TV

Good Morning!
I have two areas of interest & although I have searched through here, would be grateful for help on a choice of scanner.
I want to scan around 200 slides (35mm & 127) with a view to having some printed to A3(ish). I guess the simplest & cheapest route would be to have them done by a lab.
But, I have also rekindled my interest in “slide shows” & want to be able to scan slides, negs & possibly prints, to show on TV (32ins screen).
So, I’m looking for a scanner to cope with these requirements & as it will just be parked on the desk I don’t want to spend more than necessary.
I have looked at the Epson V500 & the Canoscan 9000f. Both sub £200. Would these be good enough for my requirements? Must I spend more, could I pay less?
Thanks in advance!
Bob

I've got the canoscan 8800F (predecessor of the 9000F) and it's absolutely fine for what you're asking - as would be the Epson V500. I tried cheaper solutions - the USB scanner boxes based around webcam technology like the Veho and similar and to be honest, although they were cheap, and fine for getting images onto the computer for display on t'internet or TV slideshows, the dpi resolution and (more importantly) the sharpness and resolving power were hard pushed to handle A4, never mind A3.

Here's a shot on my flickr that was scanned at 2400dpi on the Canon... if you click the image it'll take you to flickr and you can see a bit higher resolution version
