I've just bought an Epson V550 and I'm looking for scanner software which is not going to break the bank. So far I've found Vuescan and Silverfast 8 are there anymore I should consider?

Take a mooch around Epson's web site, they do their own software which is pretty good with lots of controls for brightness, contrast, etc.

Thanks Steve I'll give it a look. I did get software with the scanner so it will be good to see if they do anything extra.
