Vuescan, but being a 'vertical' application you might have to put up with having to spend a bit of time learning how to use it, it's worth it. Until the advent of Windows 11 I used Epson Scan with my V700 because, by nature, I'm lazy.
My definition of 'vertical' application...
A computer program addressing a specific niche market, often being written in an evolutionary manner with feedback from users (this against computer programs which are designed from a detailed specification and follow the specification to the letter without regard for the user's requirements). So what you tend to get is an application, previously known in the industry as a program, which can do owt in it's particular domain but needs a meaningful level of understanding from the user.
Vuescan might feel like a dog's dinner of an application, which it is, full of flavour, but my experience of Silverfast is of a program which addresses a particular vertical market, has been cobbled together by programmers , software engineers (don't provoke me on that one), who are really can't understand what is going on. Despite that it probably has some interesting, mathematically driven, functionality
I could go on endlessly about this but, I already did!
Wayne, drop around and I'll show you Vuescan in action if you like. Also, you never claimed you free gift following your recent purchase.
