Scanning MF slides?

I've been meaning to get around to this for years; never seem to.

Can anyone recommend a fairly decent scanner which will allow me to scan 35mm and 6x4.5 slides and negatives.

Thanks
Ross

Nikon Coolscan 9000. I've got one and the quality is excellent.

Indeed.

Also about £2k second hand these days. I think it's not yet been officially discontinued by Nikon, but AFAIK they've stopped making them and waiting for a new production run could be a long game.

If you have the money spare and the scanning project is a limited exercise, it's quite possible that you'd be able to buy one, use it and then make your money back at the end as prices do seem to be holding up well.

The Epson V700 is a cheaper option which I use and quite adequate for medium format, though I'd be the first to agree that it won't produce anything as good as a Coolscan.

Sanning 35mm is a bit more marginal with any flatbed, though the V700 makes a good fist of it for the price and will do large format film too.
