Hello fellow photie people.

Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section.

I am into classic motorcycling (1970's onwards) - for my sins I used to carry an old Kodak camera in my pocket back then snapping away.

All my photo got albumed by me back then. In the last few years I have been writing a few old nostalgia stories about those days. The classic Mechanics have printed a few with scanned photos from my albums.

Scanning from albums is not ideal and not great quality and some have discoloured a bit (and a lot)

I have an epsom neg scanner but it only scans too 35mm frame size negs.

My Kodak negs are 40mm square as the camera used C127 roll film.

Well my scans are being cropped - top and bottom.

Does anyone know of a scanner that will scan negs 40mm square?

I'm guessing that this is 127 film ?

Any flat bed scanner that can scan negatives (will have an additional light source in the lid) should work, although you will either need to make your own holder - possibly from card - or investigate alternate holders i.e. - http://www.betterscanning.com/scanning/models/vseries.html

I always recommend VueScan although most scanners come with their own s/w.

Thanks for the link. It had some interesting info. I have an Epson V200 and and although the the light in the lid is 40mm wide and just covers the neg there seems to be no way I can set it to scan the whole area of the neg.:bonk: :bang:

Is that an old Voyager in the second pic?

Can't help with the scanning, only options are get a bigger scanner, or scan in halves and join them up in PS.
