Scorpion fly

Hi all,
On my little adventures to the Pre-Alps I often find these strange creatures there.
This is a Female Scorpion fly, Its a shame I didnt find a Male one as that would show more the reasons why they are called "Scorpion flies"
Anyway, this is a fine example of this strange but beautiful fly.

Thanks guys, appreciate the comments, This area that I went to in the Pre-Alps always seems to show these about so not hard to find/see.
