I know this has already got a thread going about getting in line to borrow one but has anyone around the Shrewsbury/Stourbridge (or anywhere in between) area got a screen calibration unit that I can borrow???

I will be more than happy to "rent" the unit but looking to get something sorted this week otherwise I'll end up buying one!

No one got a screen calibration device they would be willing to lend me?

Any help appreciated.

Otherwise, does anyone know of people who hire these - I know they're cheap but would much rather just use it once that buy and leave it to gather dust!!!

I can't find one on Calumet or Lens4hire.

As mentioned before, I understand there is a thread about borrowing one but with the waiting list currently at 6 months I can't wait for that one - hence the offer to hire one off someone rather than buy, but looks like that's the only option.

To be honest the problem is not in the device but the software. I will find it difficlut to lend you a software since there is no way I can guarantee that you will uninstall it after use. Besides, mine is using activation so you wouldn't be able to install it anyway. And the device is useless without software.

From the practical point of view, the calibration really needs to be performed regularly not as a one off thing. So you might benefing buying your own colorimeter. There are a few older but just as good available on eBay and you can get something basic at around 30-40 pounds. I've seen older Monaco Optix XR with the Monaco software for around 30 pounds on eBay a few weeks ago...

Bit the bullet and ordered a Pantone HueyPro...

Cheers for the help
