Screen protection for touch screens - how does that work?!

Simple questions for you touch screen camera owners:

Do you use any protection on the screen?
How does that affect the touch screen operation?

With a camera like the G3 you can probably get away without a protector as you can swivel the screen against the body but what do you do if the screen doesn't swivel? (EP3/GF2/GF3).

The EP3 is tempting me but I am concerned about potential screen damage.

plastic stick on protectors work fine on mobile phone touch screens, you can get cut to size sheets, try them?

I used this one on my GF3 and it works ok,
