Screen Resolution and Graphics card

I'm looking for a new monitor and may go for one with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440.
Will my 1GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX460 graphics card be good enough for this resolution mainly for photoshop use.......but also, how about gaming although I dont do much of this!!

Depends what games but PhotoShop wise will be good.

Thanks Lukas, as I'm not really into games this does not bother me but I would not want it to create any problems with CS5 and Lightroom etc
