Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendations for good quality screw in polarisers? I have used Hoya HD in the past and found them good, just wondering if there's better options.

I am currently using the Lee 100mm system and 105mm landscape polariser, but I'm looking to move way from this to reduce weight and simplify my kit.

Cheers,

Iain

Maybe a B+W HTC Kaesemann MRC Nano?

HTC = high transmission circular (you lose less light).
Kaesemann = sealed at edges to keep moisture out of the polarising material.
MRC Nano = B+W's best coating (anti-reflective and easy to clean).

I’ve been using a Marumi for a few years now, although it is 105mm, and it’s been exceptional. Had Lee, Hoya and Heliopan and it gave a far more neutral result for me.

I too have changed to scale down and now use the Kase filter system which has a magnetic polariser which fit of any of the adapter rings. It’s only about 77mm so very small and light weight and spins via a small thumb wheel on the side of the holder. Very impressed so far.
