SD to CF adapter

Are these any good? Looking at getting one as I have a couple of large sd cards instead of having to spend a fortune on new cf cards.

I've got a 7-day shop one that I use in my D300. Works okay but is noticeably slower writing to the card so only gets used when I'm desperate

Yeh SD cards are sllooooooowwww although I'm tempted to get one for emergencies too.
